HISTORY AND RARITY
Produced between 1955 and 1962, the TR3 achieved significant success, particularly in the United States. However, well-preserved and fully certified examples are increasingly rare today. Early production models like this 1955 example are especially sought after for their purity of design and mechanics.
The combination of:
matching chassis and engine numbers
official certifications
fully documented restoration
participation in prestigious historic events
makes this car highly desirable for discerning collectors.
NOTES
Recently imported to Italy from France, the car has undergone a complete, top-level restoration carried out by a renowned Italian specialist.
The restoration is exceptional in every respect:
bodywork
mechanical components
upholstery
electrical system
All work was performed by highly skilled craftsmen and supported by extensive photographic documentation covering every stage of the process.
Following the restoration, the car participated in the 2023 1000 Miglia and the 2024 Coppa delle Dolomiti (Coppa delle Dolomiti), covering only a very limited number of kilometers.
To qualify for the 1000 Miglia, the car underwent strict inspections by ASI and FIVA committees, obtaining the certifications required for inclusion in the official registry—an essential prerequisite for participation.
The car is also accompanied by a detailed appraisal issued by Federperiti, certifying its value and thoroughly documenting all historical details.
